Borealis Norwegian Forest Cats (NFCs) sell kittens preferably to registered breeders with a passion for the NFC, or to loving pet owners who prefer to keep their cats indoors or with access to a confined outdoor run.   We are not breeding for the dollar sign, but for the welfare of our kittens and cats.   Therefore, we wish to see our 'babies' as happy, well cared-for pets.   For this reason our prices are comparatively reasonable for this rare breed and financial gain comes secondary to finding loving homes for each and every one.

We particularly love to place NFC kittens in pairs as NFCs really enjoy company and, if their humans are likely to be away from home for any length of time, they can become lonely without a feline friend to play with.   There is, therefore, always a financial discount offered if buyers can find room in their hearts and homes for a pair of kittens.   As pets, these will always be desexed before adoption

White Kittens:
We have a few white kittens for sale right now, marking the end of our 'white' program due to the constant threat of deafness in white cats.   There is no satisfactory way to test electronically for levels of deafness in white kittens in Victoria at present, and it is too stressful on young cats to fly or drive them thousands of kilometres to Perth or Sydney.   Therefore, all white kittens are regularly assessed for their reaction to sound and if showing signs of deafness, this will be pointed out on sale.   If you purchase a white kitten which is subsequently found to be not reacting to sound, you will be entitled to a full refund or replacement.

Deaf cats still make wonderful pets and can learn to react to vibration or light, however they must NEVER be let outdoors, due to dangers they would not be able to hear.   This is apart from the fact that white cats are very prone to skin cancers and should not be allowed to become sunburned.
